It has become necessary to discontinue writing new business in the HO-3 program through American Reliable due to its loss ratio history. We have worked with American Reliable to try and correct the product, but have been unable to find a solution. Effective September 1, 2008, no new HO-3 policies will be accepted by American Reliable. Existing policies will continue to renew as long as they continue to meet underwriting guidelines. There will be no reinstatement of lapsed or cancelled policies.
